Career history:
I worked for (then) American Bank from 1954 to 1957, and again for the period 1958 to 1960.  I worked for the Baton Rouge School Board from 1975 to the year 2000, at which time I retired.

Professional achievements:  raised my daughters -- worked and now I am enjoying my retirement.

Husband:  Harvey (deceased).  We met as a result of a friend's introduction.

Parents name: Dock and Rae MCoy  (deceased).

Personal Interest:  I enjoy travel and playing bridge.

Personal Information:  Children 3, grandchildren 3 – I love them to death.

Leisure Activities:  Reading, crafts, scrap booking, visiting my grandchildren.

I no longer work.  My current activities include the above, plus playing bridge.

The major events after BHS include my marriage, the birth of my three daughters, the death of my husband, and the birth of my grandchildren

I don’t think I have any spectacular accomplishments in my life that I can point to, but I have lived a productive and happy life.  I am happy. I have lived a happy life, and for that I feel proud and fortunate.

Summary of the last fifty years:  I don’t think I will ever forget the school itself, and the lobby between classes-like a stampede.  There have been good times and bad, with the good times coming out on top.  I enjoyed being involved in the lives of my daughters (Jodi, Staci and Cristi) while they were growing up and now. I made some wonderful friends over the years.  I now have three wonderful sons-in-law whom I dearly love and three “great” grandchildren.  All of my brothers and sister are still living.  I have a lot of nieces and nephews.  We are a very close family and enjoy getting together.  I truly have great memories.

My hope for the future is for me to live to a ripe old age and be able to still live by myself and take care of myself.  There isn’t much to still wish for except maybe to win a jackpot!!

I enjoy the life I have, and feel very fortunate for what I have.  Therefore, I am not looking to make changes in the future.
