Education:
BS, USL 1957.  Took classes at NW and LSU for 21 additional units in the period 1992 – 1998.

Spouse:  Peggy, deceased.  We met at English class at Bunkie High School.  She was in the 1955 graduating class.  She worked in a secretarial capacity for most of our married life while we raised five children.  The last part of her career was with the local hospital.

Personal Information:  Children 5, Grandchildren 8.

Parents:  Lucius and Odyle.  My father was the Studebaker Dealer in Bunkie.

Career History:  I worked in the Savings & Loan Associations for 25 years, taught at Bunkie High School for 4 years, Angola State Prison for 6 years, and was in finance for 5 years, employed by Fidelity Credit Company.

Professional Achievements:  I was Executive Vice President, Avoyelles Savings & Loan Association.  It was acquired by Pelican Homestead, and I was appointed Vice President of the merged organization, and was divisional V. P. of the Central Louisiana Operation.  I was named Outstanding Student Teacher at SLI.

Personal and Leisure Activities: Travel, computer, and keeping up with friends.  I enjoy keeping up with my Bunkie friends, and travel there periodically to see friends and family.  I am now retired and my current activities are water aerobics, Senior Center, and my children and grandchildren.  Three of my five children live in the Phoenix area so my plans are to continue living there.

Recollections of BHS:  FFA activities and playing the tuba in the band.    The teacher who made the biggest impression on me was B.G. St Romain.  He really took an interest in his students.  I think we were all fortunate to have him as a teacher at BHS.

The last fifty years have been kind to me in many respects.  There have been many pleasant events and experiences, and my health has been good. The thing that has impressed me most, however, is that those fifty years certainly went by very quickly.

No big plans for the future.  My health is good, and I thoroughly enjoy daily aerobics.  I see no change in this routine in the near future, although I hope to have the opportunity to do more traveling.
