Career Interests: I worked with
Procter & Gamble for seven years, after which I started AAA
Pest Control in 1967. I retired in 1984 after a successful
career in business. I joined and later became president of
WB CCI (Airstream Travel Club) and spent a lot of time
traveling. When not enjoying the outdoors at home, or on
the lake, I spend a lot of time with my children and
grandchildren.
Career Interest: I started AAA
Pest Control.
Professional Achievements:
Growing into being a successful business owner
Spouse: Elaine Bernard. She
worked as a secretary/receptionist and she has worked with
mentally disabled children. She dabbled in art, which
became a small-business -- painting cypress art for gift
shops.
Name of parents: Wilfred and
Dora Bernard
We have three children and three
grandchildren. Truly we think they're the greatest kids
and grandkids.
Personal Interests: travel -
hunting -- fishing
Leisure activities: these tend to be
the same as our personal interests, especially our interest
in travel.
I am retired as of 1984. Major
events since Bunkie High School: Completing college,
developing a successful business, retiring, and being
fortunate to do the traveling we have experienced.
I finished college in 1958 and
started AAA Pest-Control in 1967 and retired in 1984, and
we have traveled extensively through the US Canada and
Mexico.
A major accomplishment has been
the ability to start, manage, and sell a profitable
business.
Bunkie High School in the fifties:
I recall this being a great place to live and a great
place to go to school.
We have no plans that will
dramatically change our lives. We hope to continue pursuit
of our interests, and we hope everything will continue,
especially our good health.
